Costume Time Again

I have been sewing up a storm these past couple of days. Mark and I were asked to be Tribe Leaders for Moroni's Quest, a stake youth activity they are having this summer. It is a 3-4 day activity where everyone involved wears costumes like this and the youth will witness re-enactments from the Book of Mormon. We sleep in tents in the middle of nowhere and wear no makeup. Low maintenance will be the name of the game for sure.

The reason why I have these sewn up already is because we have a Tribe Meeting tomorrow night and all of us involved, excluding the youth, have to be dressed up....... or dressed down.

So does this mean you WILL be blogging sans makeup?

Is there at Medicine Hat Stake involved with this? My sister is in the Stake YW in Medicine Hat and is up to her eyeballs with the Quest. It sounds like a wonderful thing -- but tons of work.

Wow Lee Lee those costumes look really good! You did a great job!
Never mind about the no make up thing. Won't it be a treat not to have to take it off every night?

sewing, camping, acting, building a house.... what can't you do? It sounds like a fun activity.

AAaaahhh! Camping in tents--isn't that your alltime favorite? I can't tell you how impressive the sewing thing is. VERY cool.

Hi Marilee - I'm Jan's sister in Medicine Hat who is up to her eyeballs in Quest. I'm in Stake YW and am involved in planning and executing our event in July - we're out in Elkwater in the Cypress Hills. I was a tribe leader 3 years ago and had a wonderful experience (despite the camping part of it!) You'll have friends for life with the kids in your tribe. Love your costumes - I need to get going on mine!
